9. The Red Lion

The Red Lion can be found in the village of East Haddon. Here you may sample a little of both more contemporary and traditional pub fare. This acclaimed gastropub offers a cosy and inviting atmosphere, with a delectable meal made from locally procured ingredients. A leg of deer, smoked haddock fishcake and their always-popular sticky toffee pudding are some of the kitchen's most famous items. The amazing wine list and selection of craft beers at The Red Lion make the whole eating experience even better, which is why locals and tourists alike love going there.

The Snooty Fox lies in Lowick—a classic country pub with a touch of subtle modern twist. It has a very appealingly friendly atmosphere with some delightful discoveries on the menu. A traditional country pub with a dash of modern-day renovation, one may find wild boar, apple sausages, pan-fried sea bass, and homemade pies. Inside, the Hare is resplendent with wooden beams and an open fire, giving the most idyllic surroundings to enjoy relaxed meals. And a dedication to using only locally sourced produce ensures any dining experience will be fresh and flavourful.

 

14. La Pazienza

Those who love authentic Italian food would do well to visit La Pazienza in Market Harborough. It is such a warm, friendly, family-run establishment, alive with the contented hum of staff leisurely readying themselves for another busy service, seemingly supported by pretty flowers adorning every table. There was only an attempt to ram a little in and reflect the best of Italian cooking, and our visit pointed to seafood linguine and veal saltimbocca as among the more popular choices. The good old wood-fired bunch of pizzas is also there for you. Always a hit for a têtê a têtê with your loved one, La Pazienza is perfect for a family gathering.

15. THE CHEQUERED SKIPPER

It is a lovely pub and restaurant in Ashton Village. It is a green village traditional pub favourite and goes further to take out more refined dishes from seasonal produce. Lamb Shank and seafood platter are just two Mains of highlights that the Chequered Skipper has on its menu, all alongside some lip-smacking homemade sweets. The trendy gardens overlooking the village green are beautiful in high summer.
